Year 6 had an incredible day of training with Sarah Steed from the Speaker’s Trust. It was truly wonderful to see the growth that took place over the course of the day. Sarah took the children on a real journey, using all sorts of strategies to help them find and use their voices to speak up for trees and nature.
To add to the excitement of the day, Paula Ledger (the Executive Headteacher of the Leatherseller’s Federation of schools) popped in to see the wonderful work taking place and couldn’t help but be both impressed and charmed by the talent and courage demonstrated by Year 6.
With the new skills they gained, the children delivered speeches that were informative, thought-provoking and humorous –showing us all how to be a #ForceForNature
