Years 1, 4 and 5 took part in the RSPB’s Big Schools’ Birdwatch. This experience caused much curiosity and enthusiasm around the birds that live in or visit Lewisham. The most common bird spotted by Year 5 were house sparrows. And the children even spotted a heron!

In order to support more birdwatching activity, the British Trust for Ornithology has kindly donated sets of binoculars and bird guides to us. We are very grateful and can’t wait to start a birdwatching club.
