All our learners are becoming more connected to the natural environment. We have planted fruit trees. We have grown seeds. We have transplanted seedlings to our raised beds. We are growing potatoes, strawberries, carrots, lettuce, beetroot, peas and sunflowers. We are regularly, weeding, watering and mulching. We are monitoring mini-beasts and we are creating a small pond area to attract more wildlife.
We love learning and spending time outdoors and have realised that time outside makes us feel better!
Our growing journey has meant that we can see how biodiversity effects the variety of plans and animals in our playground and wider world. We are in a decant school but are lucky to have a biodiverse playground with trees and shrubs. We hope to take our potted trees to our newly refurbished school and create an orchard area.
