We’ve been getting to know trees, both in school and in our home areas. So far, we’ve had great fun finding out (approximately) how tall and old they are.

Home learners have discovered yew trees in their local cemetery, some of which are over 200 years old. If only we could understand their stories!

We found it interesting that some tree species seem to live much longer than others or perhaps we have not measured enough trees yet?

When Year 4 came back into the classroom, some of us felt really calm; trees are magical.
