We have a pond area surrounded by mini woodland and Year 5 has been on a mission to restore the area for wildlife.
Our dead hedge is going to be quite a task – we now realise how much material is needed to fill it!
Our local conservationist, Martin Hampton, has been back to work with us. While some of us worked on the hedge, others cleared pathways and we also had time to sketch some of the nature around us.

This looks fantastic!
This is brilliant! You are so lucky to have a local conservationist to help. We are planning on creating mini ponds from old sinks to help wildlife.
We’d love to see photos of your mini ponds and hear all about their visitors. It’s a great idea and gives scope to schools that are unable to have a large pond.
