Our Y3 children are learning about the Stone Age. We talked about food sources and how people at that time hunted and gathered their food. We went on a search around our forest school site to see what plants could provide us with food and nutrition in the right season. We were amazed by how much we found – apple, pear and cherry trees, hazel trees, a rose bush for making rosehip syrup, pine trees for pine needle tea, bramble bushes, herbs and we even found some rhubarb!
