“Trees are poems that the earth writes upon the sky” -Kahlil Gibran

Today Year 1/2 went out to visit our class tree and find some happiness in trees!

‘Shinrin-yoku’ is the Japanese word for forest bathing.
Scientists have proved that just looking at trees can make us happier and being out in nature helps boost our happiness!

Just look at the children forest bathing by our oak tree, relaxing and taking in all the sounds of nature. The children really enjoyed this and they were so keen to look closer at out tree, taking time to notice all the buds on the branches; the height of our tree; the way the branches and twigs twisted up and around and the different shades of colour on our tree.

This really was such a wonderful morning and a great boost for our well being.
