Join us for an inspiring exploration of the connections between young people, trees and nature, including a mesmerising immersive sound and light installation, Voices of Nature.
Kicking off in June 2023 at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, the Force for Nature Exhibition celebrates the actions and voices of the thousands of children and young people who have taken part in the Force for Nature campaign.
Since 2020 we’ve been inspiring children and young people across the UK to speak up for trees and nature, and now we’re inviting you to join us on our mission to create a tree filled, healthier future for all. Scroll down for further information on tickets and how you can get involved.
Exhibition activities:
- Go inside the ‘Voices of Nature’ immersive installation to interact with an otherworldly soundscape of music, nature and young people, as they share their hopes for a greener future.
- Experience a connection to trees unlike any you’ve had before; use a Plant Wave to discover the magical sounds of a tree’s inner life and to compose your own soundscape.
- Sow your own oak tree seed to take home. Nurture it and watch it grow into a sapling.
- Meet The Tree Council’s inspirational youth ambassadors.

Voices of Nature immersive installation
The Voices of Nature installation is an immersive audio-visual experience conceptually designed and developed by Richard Pollard, Head of the National Schools Programme at The Tree Council, in collaboration with musician Benjamin Haycock, and supported by renowned digital media artists Squidsoup.
Visitors entering the installation will be taken on a mesmerising journey by the voices of Young Tree Champions and Tree Council youth ambassador Benjamin Haycock. At the end of the experience, visitors are invited to add their voice by sharing their own message, which will become a part of the installation as it travels around the UK.
