We were very lucky this week to have a visit from Richard and Ben as part of the Force For Nature Tour.
It was a lot of fun and they introduced the lovely Otis the Oak tree to our Eco Council. We then spent a great time in the school orchard looking at roots and leaves with microscopes.
Then Richard and Ben entertained around 500 of our year 2 to year 6’s with the Help of Scarlet and Mr Harris (who were both very good sports). The day was rounded off spectacularly with a singalong led by Ben and his guitar, including improvised rap and beatbox and a rockstar ending.
What a way to end the school year and celebrate our school trees. I know you will have inspired all the kids to make regular visits to see what our trees are getting up to. They were certainly pretty lively at the thought of trees being cut down so hopefully they will all be a Force For Nature from now onwards.
