An immersive audio-visual exhibition celebrates the actions that children and young people are taking to be a Force for Nature.

The Force for Nature exhibition begins its tour at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, giving local families and schools the opportunity to visit and experience in person. It will then travel to London in the Autumn, before heading north. Check this page for future locations.

What can families do when visiting the Force for Nature exhibition at Birmingham Botanical Gardens?

  • Go inside the ‘Voices of Nature’ immersive art installation and listen to voices of nature soundscape.
  • Connect to a living tree!
  • Sow your own tree seed and take it home to grow!
  • Leave a pledge or message of hope for the future
  • Meet the inspiring exhibition ambassadors

Can local schools visit?

Yes, teachers from schools in the Birmingham and Midlands area can book to attend a free training event at Birmingham Botanical Gardens and experience the ”Voices of Nature” installation. Selected local schools will be invited to attend the Force for Nature festival live celebration.

How else can schools get involved?

The exhibition aims to travel around the UK, starting in the midlands, then traveling to the South and North England, Scotland and Wales. In each region or country Young Tree Champion schools will be invited to contribute to the exhibition, sharing their voices and messages. They will also have the opportunity to attend training and in some cases an event.

What is the Voices of Nature immersive sound and light art installation at the exhibition?

The Voices of Nature installation is an immersive audio-visual experience created by The Tree Council in collaboration with Benjamin Haycock (musician and senior ambassador) with technical support from Squidsoup a visual-effects company.

Visitors entering the Voices of Nature installation will be taken on an inspiring immersive audio-visual journey by the voices of Young Tree Champions and senior ambassador Benjamin Haycock. At the end of the experience, visitors are invited to add their voice by sharing their own message that will become a part of the installation as it travels around the UK.
