The Young Tree Champions programme grows deeper connections between young people, trees and nature and addresses four key challenges faced by schools.

Challenges:

  • Rising eco-anxiety among young people and teachers

  • A knowledge and skills gap around tree health, horticulture and the impact of the nature crisis

  • Limited opportunities for young people to influence positive change, especially in areas of high deprivation

  • Nature-poor school grounds
